    Lamont has been a licensed Realtor since 1987, having worked for several area real estate companies prior to obtaining  his broker's license and forming Breland Group Realtors in 1995. 

   Lamont has been married  to Stacy 
since 1987 and they have three beautiful girls, Katie (16), Kristina (13) and Nicole (12). 

A 1987 graduate of  the University of Louisville,  Lamont is also an active member of Hurstbourne Baptist Church, President of the Louisville Metro Police Foundation, memeber of the GLAR Board of Directors, GLAR Community Relations Task Force, Advertising Committee and a member of the KAR Professional Standards Committee.
  Thanks for taking the time to take a look at our business model.  We're not trying to compete with the giants in real estate, because as you probably already know, it costs a lot to feed a giant.  Our compensation plans have been developed to help you be profitable and reward you for helping us build the company. 

   As you already know, the real estate industry is changing, daily!  Technology alone has changed the real estate industry like none other; the internet, e-mail, podcasts, Treos, etc., have redefined our business and if we don't keep up, we'll be left behind.  In addition, we're faced with the reality that the market has changed, listings are up and sales are even at best.  And for most brokers, expenses are up, because they have too much overhead, caught up in doing things the way they've always been done.  It's want vs. need and if you really need someone to set up your appointments, load your listings, etc., take what you save with us and hire an assistant, at least then you have a choice.

   My vision is to develop not just a company but a culture where people are developed, goals are achieved, and lives are continually improved at home, at work, and in the community, and to do it in a way that is fair and affordable.

   To achieve this we must work as a team, working efficiently, embracing technology and not being afraid of change or of new ideas.  We must place our integrity ahead of profit and provide service to both our clients and associates at such a level that it creates lifetime relationships.

Compensation Plans
 
    We feel that since everyone is different, unique in their own special way, they should be compensated in a manner that matches their level of involvement in the real estate business. Whether you are full-time, part-time or somewhere in the middle, there is a plan that will work for you!

   Our four commission plans are as follows:

Plan A (Safe & Easy Plan) : $ 6,900.00 Annual Cap (No commitment). You keep 60% of your commissions and pay Breland Group Realtors 40% until you have paid $6,900.00. You then keep 100% of your commissions. This plan also comes with the “Marketing Package” as outlined below.
Plan B (Flex-Pay Plan) : $ 5,900.00 Annual Commitment with 70/30 flex-pay, which means you commit to paying Breland Group Realtors $ 5,900.00 over a 12 month period, however, you will only pay it 30% from each closing until the $5,900 is paid. You then keep 100% of your commissions until your anniversary date. Note: If you have not reached the $5,900.00 commitment by your anniversary date, any outstanding balance will be due on that date.
Plan C (Monthly Payment Plan) : $ 5,600.00 Annual Commitment paid in monthly installments of $467.00. On this plan you keep 100% of your commissions. 

 
Plan D (Single Payment Plan) : $5,300.00 paid in full for a 12 month period. On this plan you keep 100% of your commissions.

• All Associates pay a $50.00 per closing office supply fee. In return, most office supplies; toner, copies, etc.. are included.

• 5 x 5900 = FREE! No it’s not “new math”, it’s our unique recruiting program that allows our agents to receive a 20% referral on each new agent they recruit. And it continues as long as you both remain with us. This creates and maintaines a mentoring/team spirit. On average, that means that after you have recruited five agents, your annual fee is paid.

• Marketing Package includes quarterly mailings (production, labor & postage) to your “Top 50” Sphere of Influence, personal website, and monthly e-mail newsletter to your database.

• All agents receive "The Complete Office Package" as described below.

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Question 1:  Is it hard to switch brokers?

Answer:  Not at all. Your current broker will release your license and send it to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission (KREC). We will then deliver a letter of acceptance on your behalf to the KREC and the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors (GLAR). The process takes approximately two days and costs $10.00.

Question 2:  What about the listings that I currently have?

Answer:   Technically, all listings are the property of the Principal Broker, however, most allow the agent to take their listings to their new office. Check your Broker/Agent agreement to know for sure. Obviously, your clients make the ultimate decision.

Question 3:  I'm afraid to switch to a smaller company because of the name recognition issue, is that a problem?

Answer:   If you look back at most of your transactions, did most of your clients choose you because they knew and trusted you or because you were with a big name company? If you rely mostly on cold calls and dealing with people that don't know you, then a big nationally known name may work better. Over all it has never been much of a challenge, however.

Question 4:  What about signs, business cards, voice mail and all of that stuff?

Answer:   That's easy, we'll help you with all those adjustments. It only takes an hour or so to place the orders.

Question 5:  I'm new to real estate, what about training?

Answer:  We do not have "class room" type training (nor do we charge you for the training you get), however, we will team you up with an experienced agent and your broker (Lamont) and you will work as close as you want with them learning "on the job".
